When working with space, the basic aspiration is to ensure that it does not only look striking, but is comfortable to live in. It is also important to ensure the functionality and efficiency of the space, achieved through space planning, organisation, making provisions for the differently-abled, etc. Additionally, it is crucial to take into account the emerging trend of green design – that seeks to ensure social, economic and ecological sustainability.

All these concerns were the topics of discussion at the World Interiors Day event that continued till 3 July, 2016.

The event also displayed various interior/architectural installations all across the city, at locations such as Quest Mall, Acropolis, Mani Square and Homeland Mall.
